Founded in 1973, the Educational Scholarships Council (ESC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports career development and post-secondary training for graduates of New Valley and Wilson High Schools in Santa Clara, CA. by awarding scholarships. ESC was originally named "Employer School Council" before officially changing its name in 2025. The council consists of a dedicated group of community members and current and retired school staff.

How We Help
How We Help
Students from New Valley and Wilson High Schools are often rebuilding their academic paths after facing personal or educational hurdles and may be at risk of not graduating. With determination and a nurturing school environment, they work toward earning their diplomas.

The ESC helps these students by providing scholarships, mentorship, and guidance. Scholarship funds are disbursed after we verify a student's enrollment in accredited colleges, technical institutions, or trade programs. Scholarship funds may be renewed annually for students who continue to meet the criteria.

Each scholarship recipient is paired with an ESC mentor to provide encouragement and support throughout their post-high school journey.
